MLM Downline and Being Rich

I guess it depends on where you are financially.To some people, being able to eat out regularly makes them rich, while for others, a hefty bank account can only make them wealthy.There are still others who feel wealthy when they’re able to manage all their expenses with a steady monthly income.

This means your monthly income has a major role to play in this. Some might only need $2k/month where others would need $4k/month. Some have their house paid off and others would prefer to always have a newer car around.

Even if you have $5,00,000 in savings, you’ll need $4000 a month; let’s see where that leaves you assuming you get no interest on savings.That is $48k/yr needed which would mean you would run out of money in 10.5 years.

If you were to calculate what you would need to live, take care of your kids wedding/college/living, and emergency money then it’s going to be more than $4k/month for most people. In this case, even a 3% return on your $5,00,000 isn’t going to help you.

So, to be “rich” you would need money coming in when your not actually at work. By this, I don’t mean the yearly vacation time you get. If you were to take 6 months off and not dip into your savings/college/emergency fund then in my opinion you are rich. This is possible IF you had a healthy MLM Downline pulling you some serious residual income.

There are obvious differences in the amount you’d need depending on your location; in Texas, you could get a decent house for as low as $200000 while in the West or East, you’d need twice that amount. This means you can’t manage with the fixed residual income you get every month. Similarly, all MLM opportunity are different; don’t be fooled by businesses that look tempting and promise incredible incomes.

At work I’m part of a million dollar project. When the project goes live, we expect a return of 100x to 200x in the next few years. Now if I could only get a residual payment for everytime my design was used… ;( But I don’t own that design and I don’t own the company. These are situations when having your own business beats working for someone else.You may have helped your company produce a great product; but since it’s not your business or your product, you don’t get a share in it. Marketing multilevel companies are tricky if your only targeting friends and family.

Being able to generate new leads for a network marketing business is important in order to succeed. At some point in time you will run out of people to talk to about your product or opportunity; this can be quickly or over a longer period of time depending on your current contact list. But either way, that list will ultimately run out. Without being able to generate new leads, it is impossible for someone to build a large team and be very successful. . Generating new leads can take many forms. The are several traditional styles which are still being taught to this day and still work. Seeking names from those in your warm market who have already said “no” to your business is one way in which to generate new leads. This does not always work. There are instances when someone unwilling to open their network of contacts with a network marketer. There are also times when they will give names out; however, you will still run the risk of rejection and being told no.

Another traditional way of generating leads is through meeting new people while you are out. The basic strategy in doing this is to strike up a conversation with somoene you may run into at the mall, grocery store, or coffee house and begin asking them questions to get to know them. Once the conversation gets deep enough where this prospect is comfortable you will then ask the questions pertaining to their current job or financial situation seeing if they are open to something different.
